Hello everyone, hope your having a great weekend! I am currently at home for the night and hope someone reads this that was at the SRU vs. IUP game, I am really interested in how we did! Also Clarion vs. Cal U. was televised since I am here in Clarion and boy did they get crushed! But more on football is how excited I am for tomorrow just to watch some football while I study. Steelers play the Colts at 8:20pm but lots of others like Patriots vs. Buffalo and Cleveland vs. Miami. I'm a little worried about Hillis tomorrow for my fantasy draft tomorrow since he might not play due to strep throat. So wish for the best! Last topic for tonight is Pitt's game against Notre Dame. It was a good fight but just couldn't stick it out, but really showed potential from what I saw! I'm off to bed so I can get back tomorrow for the games, Hope you all have a safe and good night and thanks for reading!

Week #2 for the NFL
Hello and welcome back to the Pit everyone! On today 9-20-11 Tuesday we will be talking about Week #2 in the NFL. To start off, how bout them Steelers! Showing that Week 1 was tough with the Ravens but isn't going to happen often by shutting out the Seahawks 24-0! But as for the big bad Baltimore Ravens, what happened? Don't get me wrong now, I like the Ravens and enjoy their smash-mouth play but after beating the Steelers the hype was to much. The tv was just jam full of them going on the way and no one will stop them, along with Steelers are done and wont stand against them. But what happend this week after sunday I haven't heard anything, as if all the commentators are hiding the fact that the Titans beat them 26-13! But it's alright because they are still a good team just needed knocked back a step, and it came early! But other games were pretty exciting like Buffalo coming back against the Raiders to win it 38-35 in the final minutes! As well as Atlanta beating Philly 35-31! I was very impressed with Carolina and Cam Newton holding their group against Aaron Rodgers and the Packers losing 30-23. Cam Newton is really proving that he came to the league to play having another great week throwing 432 yards and 1 touchdown. A do-owe I am really pleased with is Philip Rivers and Vincent Jackson who won me my fantasy game killing the Patriots defense even though losing 35-21 but leaving me 2-0!
In other news, my flag football team lost our first game on thursday, but this thursday will be a different story! Along with us, the Pirates lost again against Arizona 1-0 bringing them closer to the end of the season. And the SRU football team lost 20-13 to West Chester, but its ok because this Saturday will be a different game with IUP!
Good luck to the football team and thanks for reading!
Have a great tuesday and see you soon!

Football Sunday...
Well it's sunday night and a little put off by the Steeler game. The Ravens played really well but Pittsburgh just didn't show up, but I'm hoping they are just shaking off the off season rust and pick it up next week. The other games were great, a lot of upsets and shockers, like the Bills and Redskins. This is going to be a crazy season and I'm really excited to see what happens. My fantasy is looking good with Steve Smith leading my team looking awesome! Also in football news, congratulations to the SRU football team on destroying Chenyney!! That was a really good home opener winning 54-0! And lots of other good college ball yesterday. And the Pirates lost again tonight.... 3-0. But that was pretty much my weekend other then seeing my parents yesterday and playing Madden with friends.
I'm really sorry about the two boys we lost on campus and my regards are out to their family and friends. It's a sad time and I know everyone here is hurting.

Long Wednesday
Well my long day is finally done and this morning I was reading up on the Kickoff tomorrow which made me real excited for tomorrow. Football season finally feels like its hear even though last weekend consist of college ball. I can stop being so mad with the Pirates and start being happy with the Steelers! I'm also interested in seeing how the Eagles start their "dream teams" season even though its only St. Louis. I feel that with all their stars, they are still missing a great defense and will struggle with that. (even though they are my fantasy teams D) I was just told I am going to play racquetball so this is a short one. Thanks for reading and talk to you later! Bye!

Introduction to Me
Hi, my name is John Stroup. I am a sophomore at Slippery Rock University and I am majoring in Sport Management. I am from Clarion PA and went to Clarion Area High School. In high school I played football, golf, track and wrestled and was in the band and choir. Here at SRU I am on a flag football team with a few friends from my high school team and a few other friends. I also enjoy racquetball and baseball. I would like to get my degree in Sport Management and find a Facility Management or office job for a professional or minor league franchise but now thinking about Public Relations. My first choice of sports would be football or baseball but I am willing to do others such as hockey, fighting, soccer, etc.. I am looking forward on seeing how well I can keep up with this blog as it is my first time doing so and will be writing in it all semester and maybe longer. So welcome and thank you for reading!
